Ferrari Srl is born

The Ferrari company was founded by Eligio Ferrari in 1960 and started to take its first steps marketing specialized welding and cutting products.

The first Ferrari catalogues date from the end of the 1960s and featured the first LPG regulators for domestic use and related accessories for thermo-hydraulic systems.

Thus began a new chapter as Ferrari entered the thermo-hydraulic sector.

At the beginning of the 80s, as Eligio's son, Roberto Ferrari, took over management, the company began a new phase in its continued expansion, becoming, over some years, one of the leading players in the distribution of thermo-hydraulic products.

Accompanying the growth of methane use in Italy, Ferrari's sales grew and incorporated a great number of products for gas sector control, measurement and safety.

At the beginning of the 1990s, another two important stages in the company's growth were:

  • The opening of a new facility in Lucca to serve customers in Tuscany, central and south Italy and the islands.
  • The transfer of the headquarters to Cassano Magnago. The inauguration was immediately followed by the first expansion projects that reflected how Ferrari was becoming ever more a major player.

At the beginning of 2000, the Cassano facility was completed with 3,500 square metres of covered space able to stock more than 5,000 products ready for shipment to meet customer needs.

The range of plumbing, heating and gas supply systems were soon expanded to include products for flues and everything related to combustion fume evacuation, and a specific components division for conditioning systems was created.

In 2004, a second facility was inaugurated in Monselice, in order to offer services targeted at customers in Romagna and the north-east of Italy.

New facilities

New facilities

Ferrari is constantly developing its business and looking for new products to add to its catalogues.

The increases in catalogued products and demand led to the adaptation of the existing facilities, with further enlargements at Cassano Magnago and Lucca and the modernization of storage systems to optimize space.

Warehousing thus managed over 2,000,000 items in a total surface area of approximately 10,000 square metres.

Idrhaus

Idrhaus

In January 2016, a new scenario opened up with the acquisition of the company Idrhaus, which become an integral part of the Ferrari family.

Idrhaus, active in the thermo-hydraulic sector since the mid-80s with the marketing of equipment for installers, enriched the company with its know-how and confirmed Ferrari's undisputed leadership in the market.

Ferrari, by virtue of this merger, thus began to boast the most complete range on the market, adding to the products that had distinguished up to then another 3500 select products.

Investments were then made in the corporate website and technological innovation, in order to offer a punctual and reliable service offering customers the best products on the market.

In addition to the new website, Ferrari integrated its management system with B2B services and active electronic data exchange with key clients.

In the 2000s, Ferrari entered the international market and established business relations with Spain, Portugal and countries in eastern and northern Europe.

It is during these years that the company exponentially increased its visibility, thanks also to a constant commitment to participating in trade fairs and industry events.

On the occasion of the 2012 Mostra Convegno trade fair, Ferrari introduced its first app, presenting all of its publications and reaching 1,178 registered users in the first 15 days.

To date, the Ferrari apps (for both iOS and Android) have exceeded 1,600 users and 4,000 downloads.
